Hi Rick, Thank you for the answer. I am looking for the same kind of map you would find at the entry of some condominium tracts. The map would usually tell you where you are and where the address of the property you are looking for is. If your lucky, some of the better maps would be detailed enough to show the builder model for each unit. I dont know if this is called a subdivision map, tract map or something else. I tried my title company, but I am sensing some real hesitation on their part, I really dont know why. I know they have access to some of the very best maps. I will try to email some examples of what I am hoping to find somewhere. Getting a wall sized map with the map books would be very useful, how did you do that? I have tried several methods to cross reference an APN or address with the map book. My MLS tax sheet will show the map book in the legal description of a property, however I dont know if all the useful documents and maps would show up all in that one map book or are they spread out over several map books. I also tried asking the planning department yesterday and at previous visits to a local county recorders office if there was some kind of documented procedure that could explain how the recorded document system is organized,no luck. That is probably a field unto itself that only title companies can do is my guess. Any info on this subject would be so usuful because because it still doesnt make any sense to me.
