IRS type right of redemption...In Reply to: Lien posted by Jeff on March 17, 2004 at 8:21 AM : Hello, : Does a medicare lien have the same status as a federal IRS lien as it pertains to the chain of title? In other words, if I were to purchase a property on the courthouse steps that was foreclosed on by the 1st mortgagor, and there was a second mortgage and a federal medicare lien behind it (3 liens total), would the medicare lien still have a 120 day right of redemption similar to an IRS lien? : Thank you in advance! ======================== Jeff, No, there are no other governmental entities that I know of that have a right of redemption like IRS has.
