: What does UDT mean and why do some investors use this wording as opposed to dated when naming their trusts? JK, There are two versions of this archaic abbreviation. I've seen UDT mean "under declaration of trust" and also UTD mean "under trust dated". I abandoned the usage of it years ago in preference of the unambiguous term "dated". Hope this clears things up.
