Re: Mobile home foreclosure...In Reply to: Mobile home foreclosure... posted by Ward-CA on January 29, 2004 at 10:59 AM : : We purchased a mobile home 3 years ago when the markets were still high for them. Since then we have had a space rent increase that has made it more and more difficult for us to make the payment. : : We have never been late with one payment however we have scraped by. We currently have the home on the market for sale but not one person has come to see it in the 6 months we have had it listed. Several other homes around the park have been foreclosed on make it extremely difficult for us to get what we are asking or need to get to satisfy the loan. : : We have been contemplating letting the home get foreclosed on but we don't know much about it and how that affects us and our future. I do know that it would affect our credit for the next 7-10 years but would it ruin our chances of buying another home in the future? Also how does it work with space rent? Would we need an attorney?? Any advice or info you could offer would be greatly appreciated. : : Thanks. : ===================== : JM, : The process for enforcing lien rights against personal property, like a moveable mobile home, works differently than a foreclosure of real property. It involves checking title with the UCC filings in Sacramento, etc. : If you want to know the specifics let us know and we'll dig out the applicable codes for you.
Thank you for your reply any information you can give us would be greatly appreciated. Also would we need an attorney? If so which type Real Estate etc?? Follow Ups:
