A blessing in disguise...In Reply to: foreclosure door knocking posted by kyle on October 28, 2003 at 8:48 PM : I have been knocking on doors where people are in foreclosure. i cant seem to get past the first two minutes before they either deny they are in foreclosure or that they cured it or they dont answer the door at all!! : does anybody have a good script that they use to get in? thanks -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Kyle, Because of experiences like yours, or even worse, most people contemplating the door knocking approach back off and go do something else. So for those few hardy souls who tough it out and develop an effective door knocking monologue or technique, the foreclosure world opens up to a dream come true. It becomes a natural monopoly for those few persistent whackos who obstinately persevere until they've solved each riddle that comes along. Why do they persist? Because they sense the foreclosure world will be their oyster if they can adequately solve the conundrums involved. I have one hint for you. Put yourself in the place of your prospect and then imagine what approach would work on you! What would that guy coming up to your house have to say to you to get beyond you initial defenses?? For example, should he immediately tell you he wants to buy your house or should he indicate that you should try to save you house if you can, and if you can't, then at least try to save your credit?? Hope this helps. Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
