the state of insurance today...

Posted by scinv on August 09, 2003 at 8:15 PM

is absolutely REDICULOUS. i posted a plea from any of you a month ago regarding obtaining house insurance for property held in a title holding trust. ZERO responses! 8 hours on the phone, and twenty agents later, this is what i found, and you're not gonna like it.the triple wammy on this is 1) i do not own my principle residence. 2)title to house is in tht. 3) house is a rental. there is only ONE company i found that would insure it at ANY price. Dawn Weston, at Countrywide Insurance Services insured me over the phone, no b. s., thru American Family Home Insurance Company out of Cincinnati Ohio. could care less about title vesting, BUT, premiums are $1,280 A YEAR. i'm trying to re-fi, and need this to cut my interest rate(10 1/2%) in half. gatta do what you gatta do. necessary evil, and all that!. her phone # is 800-669-6653, ext. 5163.
