Reading tea leaves...In Reply to: War posted by Jack Liu on April 11, 2003 at 6:06 PM : Ward, : I saw quite a few of your posts over the last few months predicting a certainty of doom and gloom for the housing market once the war with Iraq started - i.e. seller's market turning to buyer's market, attendance at trustee's sales plumeting, generally the housing market going down the toilet. I haven't seen even a little bit of that. Think you got that one wrong big time? =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= Jack, You’ve got me correctly pegged as a pessimist as far as my belief that our economy is going to be noticeably affected by this war with Iraq and the aftermath of rebuilding what we just knocked down. I believe that so strongly that I’ve made some substantial changes in my cash arsenal and property holdings in the anticipation of the gloom of a buyer’s real estate market here in Southern California. An aftershock will hit our economy and you will feel it for sure. So mark your calendar and let’s review this post and my reply to it in the next 6 to 12 months.
