Well, went to the property on Sunday and talked to the previous owners (received the deed on Saturday. They are not bitter about the situation, actually they are in a pretty good position. They received over a 100,000 in cash from a refinance back in 2006 and have not paid a penny towards insurance, property taxes,HOA etc for over 2 years and even have taken in a tenant so they receive cash monthly. They are asking for another 2 months in free rent. I said no deal and mentioned I would start an eviction and not give any cash to them. You would not believe the amount of time and cash they were asking for. What is this? They said their friends have received more time and money. So many rewards for doing the wrong thing, I just do not get it. I personally went to the property (It is not close by-it is a few hours of driving at least) to meet the people in the property and get a general feeling of their attitude. We did verbally agree to a date and amount but I am wondering how will I enforce it if they do not move? I am sending a document detailing our agreement for their signature. I will hire an eviction attorney to begin eviction. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Rick.
