: Occasionally I see an APN # and an alternate APN # in the MLS tax page for a particular property. Why is there an alernate APN # and what purpose does it serve? Thank You

Sometimes a property incorporates multiple adjancent parcels. When I have seen this, it always involves two or more tiny lots which were probably mapped in the early 1900's, and are too small to build on.

So the owner builds on multiple parcels, and the legal descripeion incorporates multiple percels. There are actually multiple tax bills.
