The repeal of the Glass Steagall act was initiated by a bill introduced by Phil Gramm in the Senate and James Leach in the House, both Republicans. The veto-proof legistlation was signed into law by President Clinton. You need to be careful if you get your information from Rush Limbaugh. It was republican legislation passed by a republican controlled congress.
