There was an article on firstamres.com by Cagan, which showed the changes in the So Ca RE mkt from 1996 or so thru 2004 by color change from blue meaning negative or 0 appreciation thru yellow orange red or purple meaning 30% or greater appreciation. The report used zip codes as the boundaries. This was a huge pdf file 50-70 pages. I cant remember for sure. This report is no longer on the web site. There is one on flipping at that site now. Maybe if someone contacted Cagan, they could put it back on the web site?
